We are launching a new weekly acting for screen class! Whether you’ve never acted in front of a camera before, or you want to brush up on your skills, this is the class for you! In all classes you’re sent material in advance to familiarise yourself with, which you’ll then perform in front of camera, in a group feedback style session. In the four weeks we’ll be covering the following: NOV 25 | COMEDY Can I be bigger when performing a comedy scene? How big is too big. What’s the difference when performing Comedy on Stage as opposed to screen? Is there a difference? Using original Comedy scripts. DEC 2 | POLICE DRAMA Police Drama’s can often deal in quite dense, term-heavy text. Delivering this dialogue with confidence and assurance can be half the challenge. Come and work on some Police Drama scripts, and we’ll have you talking like the cast of Line of Duty in no time! DEC 9 | PERIOD DRAMA Working on scripts from shows like Bridgerton, Downton Abbey and Outlander, we’ll look at constructing a believable performance within the framework of a heightened Period Drama. Delivering honest performances, and steering clear of the dreaded ‘Period Drama’ Voice. DEC 16 | DAY PLAYER Looking specifically at TV ‘Day Player’ roles. How to bring an honest and truthful character to the story within the confines of normally quite a short and basic script. Day player roles can be the first port of call for actors at the start of their television career. Go into these situations with the confidence to deliver the goods on set. The classes are set at £35 a class, but we are offering 3 classes for £100 or all 5 for £150! WHEN BOOKING, YOU'LL ONLY BE ABLE TO SELECT ONE DATE, BUT WE'LL KNOW YOU ARE BOOKING FOR ALL FIVE SESSIONS. All takes from the workshop can be sent to the actors for no extra cost.
