STEVE SPEIRS | COMEDY ACTING FOR SCREEN
An excellent workshop with the wonderful Steve Speirs, which saw him work with a group of actors on comedy scenes for screen.
Steve worked with every actor individually and was really generous with his time and expertise.
Every actor loved it, and we cant wait to have Steve back later in the year!
TV/FILM DIRECTOR | STEVE HUGHES | ACTING FOR SCREEN
This brilliant workshop was a full day with Steve, working with actors on monologues, duologues, improvisation, and giving advice on the industry.
Every actor left saying they had learnt so much and felt inspired from the session, and it was great to see a group of people all supporting each other.
A big thank you to Steve and to all the actors who signed up for this one.
FILM DIRECTOR | RYAN ANDREW HOOPER | ACTING FOR SCREEN
This workshop saw Ryan work closely with each actor on a short scene from a BBC script.
After an initial introduction and pairs going over their lines, Ryan then directed the actors one at a time in front of camera to try get something new out of them, and to help them feel relaxed and deliver their best.
"I just wanted to thank you and Ryan for a brilliant session. I feel like I learnt so much from it. The direction he gave was brilliant and watching the others performing and seeing Ryan's feedback and direction was so valuable.
Thank you so much again, I'm really looking forward to the next one! " - Jennie
Afterwards Ryan gave the group a short Q&A where he gave some honest and helpful advice.
A massive thank you to Ryan, and to all our actors who shared and created such a safe space.
"Thanks again for the workshop on Thursday. It was great preparing a scene and working with some buddying actors again who all wanted to help each other. You created a very open and safe space to work in.
Ryan was lovely too. His directing style was great, asking questions and gently proding people in the right direction and giving his true opinion of a script. Very lovely and funny guy." - Rob
